Kia Yee Ang
Mike HJ Chang is a Taiwanese artist and art teacher residing in Singapore. His solo exhibition, Half Is A Place, is currently happening at Nanyang Art Gallery in Nanyang Girls' High School till 2 May 2014. A collaboration between Mike HJ Chang and the students of the Secondary 3 Arts Elective Programme 2014, Half Is A Place is "the exploration of the interaction within binary relationships through extended metaphors and space", and will showcase a series of Mike HJ Chang's various artworks.
"In the beginning, I thought 'half' was a problem I had to think my way out of. Then I realised it was a 'place'. One can lean comfortably against it."
